Installing Drupal

In the past, I was able to install Drupal through HostGator's one-click installation directly via the cPanel/HostGator login page. Now it seems to be hidden or removed, and it looks like HostGator is prioritizing WordPress over Drupal. Please advise. 

After following the steps listed here for setting up a fresh Drupal install on a VPS:

...I went to install a theme using this:
composer require 'drupal/solo:^1.0'

...but got this error:
./composer.json is not writable.

What steps were missing from that install guide to allow me to install themes and modules with composer?

Trying to alter a content type and getting "The website encountered an unexpected error. Try again later." when I look in the error logs I am getting the error below.

Any idea how to sort this out, I have updated composer with all dependencies but no joy.

This is not really a request for support, after several days of tearing my hair out, I found the solution to the problem I was having and since I did not find a solution clearly set out on any forum I thought I would share what worked for me to save someone else with the same problem a lot of time and heartache.  I hope is not presumptuous of me to post it here, but it could have saved me a lot of grief if I had found this days ago.....

I'm Darshan Hiranandani, I am having trouble launching my Drupal 9 webpage on the server and was wondering if anyone in the group could provide some suggestions or assistance. I have followed all the necessary steps for deployment, but for some reason, the webpage is not loading properly.

If anyone has experience with launching Drupal websites on servers and can offer some advice or tips, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance for your help.

I've just installed Drupal 10.2.7 on my local machine, just for learning and testing at this point, so I'm not in a massive rush to get this sorted. This is on a VM with Ubuntu 22.04 with Apache 2.4.52. I guess the installation was OK. but I'm Just getting a warning about Clean URLs at stage 3 of the final configuration process. The precise message is:
