Installing Drupal

I'd like to have the forum look like the links directory--with the parent topics showing first and the children the next level in. Has anyone done this? I'm just starting out with drupal, so I'm still digging into things, and I did search every way I could think of here before I posted this. Thanks.

During last month i`m trying to translate locale in russian.
So I`ve a question:
"Set public/published"(in story) - what does it mean?
And what does it make with a story?

I am new and don't know how to install it.

I am using Windows XP and don't have Linux.

Please help me...I am not stupid with computers..;)

I am getting the following error message after installing Drupal:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /index.php on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I changed the file permissions, but to no avail. Help!

Hello All,

I can't reproduce the problem, it just seems to occur randomly.
Sometimes, a new node in the moderation queue appears like i have voted on it.
And sometimes a node i have voted on, appears like i have not voted on it.
I log out and log in with a different user name, and the queue seems to be right.
Other users are experiencing the same thing. and it's not because of users making revisions. did this happen to someone else?
