Hello everyone. I just installed Drupal on my machine at work and I am trying to figure out how to configure it. Good news first. I am running Knoppix linux and have installed postfix, mysql php4 and drupal. Everything went well and now I follow the instructions on
I am installing for the first time and have searched the forums and documentation but couldn't find a discussion for a newbie about how to handle .htaccess if your PHP is now run as CGI not as a module for "added security".
This is important because I amd getting the message about:
I have installed 4.2.0-cvs and been trying out some of the features. I've created a book and have found that if a non-admin user edits the top level page of that book then after "submit" that page is unavailable, the apache process dealing with the read request dies with a Segmentation fault. If however I click on the "edit" link (from the return|view|edit) menu which appears after the submit, I get back to the edit page and a second "submit" (without any more edits) will make the page available again ?
Is there anyway this can be done? I would quite like to be able to split off comments in forums that stray off-topic to be put into the forums as nodes, along with all the comments related to it.
Comment moderation only seems to rate/hide the comments, not put them in a separate forum topic. Although, I'm a little unsure of how powerful this feature is due to my lack of experience with it. I've had a bit of a search around but can't seem to make head nor tail of peoples answers with it.
If anyone has any other suggestions for a solution I'd appreciate hearing it.
I'm installing drupal on hosting service (ipowerweb) and i'm receiving the following error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /public_html/includes/database.pear.inc on line 58
