Installing Drupal

I installed the image module, and it allows me to upload files (including the tumbnails) into the appropriate directory. However, I never see the uploaded pictures. When i later try to use image_assist i get the following error messages

warning: getimagesize(files/files/jansteyaert.jpg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/beersel/public_html/drupal/modules/img_assist/img_assist.module on line 550.

I have installed the drupal 4.6, and I created the first account, but when I tried to login, I get the following messages:
Access denied
You are not authorized to access this page.

I have tested with the password that drupal send me by email but I get the same messages.

What can I do????

I see no entrires for aggregator rss feeds in cron.php I can manula update them and they display fine I just need to get them to automaticaly update. Any help appreciated.

I tried to create 2 new blocks. I first one was created fine, but the second one didn't work. I got this error:

Last night I installed drupal, the installation ran perfect. I configured all the settings, then I did the taxonomy, and finally I added two stories.

Everything was working perfectly last night, but today when I go to my site site: http://www.techanddev.com/ in firefox I get jibberish. It wont even let me copy and paste the jibberish. And when I go to my site with IE it wants to download some file!!!

I am so confused....
