Installing Drupal

I've installed Drupal sucessfully but when I try to create the first user it redirects to another site !?!

My Drupal is installed in a subdirectory called drupal460.
I've configure settings to :
$base_url = 'http:///htdocs/drupal4060';

And in the .htaccess :
RewriteBase /drupal460

What should it be?
When I try to create my first user it redirects to :
http://www.aos.princeton.edu/WWWPUBLIC/htdocs.pom/

I just set up Drupal entirely as I'd like it. Drupal 4.6, IIS, MySQL latest

Now, whenever a user posts in the Forum, the post doesn't appear, and the forum says it has -X number of posts, X being equivalent to however many posts there are new ... and the main forum topic count stays at ZERO.

Can anybody help please?

I'm a real newb at mysql and drupal. I've been visiting a drupal powered website for a while, and decided it would be cool to run my own drupal site locally. I've followed the directions found here: http://drupal.org/node/22674 to the letter. Several times. As of now, I am getting his error in my browser: Access denied for user 'username'@'localhost' (using password: YES). Anyone have any idea what is gumming up the works?

The db part went fine. I uploaded the files. I enabled the module, but nothing shows up here admin/node/configure/types as it is supposed to per install doc. Anyone have any ideas what I did wrong?

Hi.
I just installed Drupal and wrote a first post to try it. I set the new settings. I'm going to use it as a personal weblog, so I disabled users creating content. Now I can't log in my site, as there is no "users login" link :(
I'm a total newbie.
What can I do?
