Installing Drupal

I am working in drupal 4.6.I have to generate the catelog of product.From where I will get this module?

A bit of background. I set a drupal site www . thelefthanded .com a few months back. I got it configured and running smoothly.

I haven't checked it in the past few days, but today I wanted to do a few things, and when I went to the site I got this error:

What is odd is I haven't changed anything in a month. now all of a sudden, nothing.

It seems like I've got the general installation done correctly, but upon visiting the site, the opening page had no theme applied and showed a bunch of warnings. It allowed me to create a user, but I can not login using the pass that was generated.

Here's what was generated on the opening screen (less the "Create A New Account" fields/button:

After moving my drupal 4.3.1 site to another server, I have the following problem:

All links to pages within the site are missing the "?q=" prefix and thus cannot be found.

For example:

http://213.84.65.181/drupal-4.3.1/node/view/56

Should read:

http://213.84.65.181/drupal-4.3.1/?q=node/view/56

When I add the ?q= in the url by hand the page loads without any problem.

Ok... i'm accepting that it is impossible to disable the mbstring.http_input on my host, the php being loaded as cgi, and not an apache module, so nothing i can do about it :'(

But... is there anything that can be done about it in Drupal? Does it need to prevent this being enabled? 4.6 runs just fine.

Any suggestions?

Sorry guys...I just keep struggling. I think I have read twice now the documentation but either I'm not understanding or drupal is too complex for me. I hope you can help.

I went into setting and saw the follwing error

Settings
The directory /home/vdeck/tmp is not writable

During installation I did create a folder called "files" and did a CHMOD of 777

I tried to change the path to: /public_html/online-dating-rights-com/files

but got another error saying it wasn't available. However, I checked and it is there.

Next I noticed the following under administrator and though these may become an issue also with learning drupal.

In some cases above, the path confuses me. Why /home/vdec/tmp and not home/public_html/online-dating-rights-com/files.
