Hey there,
after I installed and activated the views_data_export module, I wanted to add a new "Data export" display to my view.
But it is not possible to choose that type of display (see attached screenshot). I don't understand why, because I installed and activated this module before.

shannoninman CreditAttribution: shannoninman commentedI have the same issue, I've installed Views Excel Export (7x - 1.0) but I do not get the Data Export option in my views (7x - 3.5) module. I'm attaching the screen print of what options I do have. Is there an additional step I'm missing that gives the Data Export option in my Views module?
Or if there is a better module/method for getting a CSV or Excel data file of my content I would be open to that too.
Thanks for all that respond in advanced!
UPDATE: I installed Views Data Export and now I have the Data Export option in views.

I resolved the issue by uninstalling views_data_export and views_export_xls and then installing them in the correct order, with views_data_export first. Then double-checking permissions for views_export_xls.
