Results of testing inline edit w/ JAWS 13 and FF 14

http://demo.sparkdrupal.com/node/1

1. Radios for View/Edit are available on the page, but positioned between the Admin toolbar and main menu in the DOM. These are not easily discoverable from the page content to which they relate.

2. After selecting the 'Edit' radio, there are no indications that the title can be edited.

3. Virtually clicking on the title gives no indication that anything has changed, but inspecting the page three links appear before the title in the DOM (Title, Save, #), and a text input field at the very bottom of the DOM

4. Entering text into the text input field and clicking save, or pressing enter, does not update title.

Original report by @mgifford:

I gotta say that this is pretty neat stuff!

That being said I can't see how one can select the edit mode (from the view mode) without having a mouse.

Furthermore, selecting the title/body also requires a mouse to activate the WYSIWYG from what I can tell.

Once you're in the body you're trying to modify you can hit shift tab to get up into the WYSIWYG.

The save button doesn't work on focus/active and just on hover.

Thanks for putting this demo up. Looking forward to seeing it progress.

Priority: Normal » Critical

Escalating to critical, since we obviously want this functionality to be accessible.

That said, currently we are in "OMG BANG OUT FEATURES AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!1!1" mode and so have not yet done thorough reviews for things like this. Thanks a lot for itemizing a list of things for us to check though, that's really helpful.

The Aloha separation took longer than expected last sprint, so this is on the docket for this sprint now, at least for some of Everett's suggestions.
