Hello,

I was wondering if this module would be able to integrate with Ubercart SSL module just to give support for the user login block and user register blocks? The module is named Ubercart SSL but it seems to be a lightweight SSL module like Secure pages.

Thank you

I have to say I don't understand the purpose of uc_ssl. Its author makes the assertion that uc_ssl is better than a "huge module like Secure Pages that is big and bulky and often times breaks".

However, securepages is only 500 lines, and has always worked well for me. I would recommend giving that a try instead.

This is possible but requires a 2 line change in the hijack module. Just DL hijack and modify it to work with uc_ssl, its a fairly simple process. I have no need for this module so I have never bothered to use it. I use the hooks within uc_ssl instead to accomplish what this module does.

As for the large/bloat comment. The difference is roughly 250 lines between the two. 529 > 275 Thats a sizable difference no? I could make another module with the left over 250 lines heh :) The other reason is lack of support/activity. Take this for example: http://drupal.org/node/264987 Created in may 2008, finally patched in jul 2010. I dont know about you, but thats quite a long time to go for adding literally a 23 character fix. Its things like that, that turn people off from using one thing over another. If you dont care about keeping up to date etc etc, and sp's just works, then great. If it didnt and there were no other options/modules, well then you'd be up the creek without a paddle like I was until I wrote my own to fix the problem. Also, just because something works for you, doesnt always mean that it'll work for everyone else. Thats just closed minded thinking.

Bottom line, its user choice. Some like sp's, some dont. I happen to be one that doesnt care for it much since it simply didnt work for me because of bugs in it that have been in the queue for about 2 years now, coming up on 3 here in a couple months and they have still not been addressed even though there are working patches in the queue to fix the issues. Patches in a queue are about as good as food in the freezer. They arent edible until you cook them (put them in a release). I kinda like my food cooked lol. Though it doesnt matter anyways since I no longer need sp's lol.
