Any idea when that issue is going to be resolved so we can get a Drupal 7 version of this module? Or if that feature can be dropped so we can get a D7 version and it re-added later?
Subcribing.. Also going to check out the themekey module witchcraft referred to and I'll leave some feed back if it doesn't accomplish the same things as sections does. So if you don't see another comment from me here chances are themekey did the job!
@Summit I'm still using Drupal 6 for most of my sites so I haven't been able to test themekey as extensively as I would like but it seems to be working great and just as the sections module does in Drupal 6. I haven't encountered any issues. Sites not really production ready but your welcome to have a look at the site I have implemented themekey on, url is chadmkidner.com - you'll see the theme change when navigating from home page to the "Blog section".

any word on whether this will upgrade? if not best other module to use for path sensitive theme switching? sounds like themekey is the ticket any other votes?
Still I like the sections module way more.
ThemeKey is fine if you want to switch a entire theme,
however for the creation of Path alias specific template files I have yet to find a similar solution.
Resulting in the adding of a theme_hook_suggestions in your template.php. http://cheekymonkeymedia.ca/blog/gene-bernier/how-create-page-tpl-sugges...
However a module which does this trough the admin panel of drupal will be much better.

jsimonis commentedI've begun using Themekey on my D7 sites and like it. It can take a little getting used to, but once I learned it, I liked it.
