The Search API Autocomplete module in action.

This module provides autocomplete functionality for Search API searches, similar to the Apache Solr autocomplete module.

Autocompletion can be activated and configured for each search (all search views and pages) individually, so you have fine-grained control over where autocompletion can be used – and by whom.

Autocompletion only works on backends supporting it – currently, this is the case only for Solr and the database.

Drupal 8 version

A Drupal 8 version of this module is currently under active development. it is currently in Alpha stage and already usable, with some restrictions. For issues that need to be resolved for a Beta (and subsequent stable) release, please see the list of Beta blockers.
