Overview & Features
RSS-Field is a lightweight module that allow you to integrate and setup a field (standard Link field) within a Contenttype, that offers you the possibility to display the latest Posts from a specific RSS-Feed within a node. You can handle this field like all other Drupal-Fields f.e. with Views etc.
You can define how many entries from the Feed should be displayed and and whether the title of the feed should be displayed or not.
Installation & Setup
RSS Field should only be installed via Composer. The zip files on this page are provided for informative purposes only.
As soon as the field (standard Link field) has been defined in a Contenttype, you can set it up within the Display Settings of the Contenttype (in "Manage Form Display" in the Widget-column choose RSS Feed and save, then within the "Manage Display" tab you have to choose RSS Feed in the Format column and the setup appears).
Now you have to enter a Node of this Contenttype and type in the Link to the RSS Feed into the RSS-Field. After Saving the node, the latest Posts are shown within this node.
Known Issues
On localhost a RSS-Link with https (instead of http) throws an error. The Problem, that a site-error occurs, if the used Feed-URL is not reachable, is fixed in the current Version of the module.
