It was pointed out to me only after deployment that the "Pre-approved message" (admin/user/register_preapproved/settings) is getting truncated. I checked the admin interface and sure enough the text field is lopping off the text.
Could this textfield be made a textarea to allow for longer messages? Or if the message gets truncated on submit of the settings page, a drupal_set_message would have alerted me right there that my message was too long and was being lopped off.
I haven't yet looked at what it would take to do this but plan to if you think it's a worthy enhancement.
Thanks

johnhanley commentedNo deliberate truncation is being performed. The maxlength attribute for the "Pre-approved message" field is 250 characters. Does your message exceed 250 characters? That said, the textfield could easily be changed to a textarea, but perhaps your message could be reworded to fit within the allowed character count (?)

texas-bronius commentedRight, our message exceeds that by about 30 chars. At first stab, I thought it would be a simple tf -> ta change, but then I think that would also require a db update on update of the module, wouldn't it?
I will request that the message be shortened to fit 250 chars.
Thanks

johnhanley commentedYeah, shortening the message to fit within 250 characters probably makes the most sense.
