Create a short description (200 characters or less) that will be easily understood by the Project Browser target audience of site builders and those new to Drupal. The short description should answer the question - "what does this module do in a non-technical way".

MAINTAINERS: the short description should be added to the Summary field of the Description on the project page. The short description will be displayed on the cards in the Project Browser grid and list views.

Proposed Resolution

Generates the "breadcrumb trail" to the current page based on the navigation to that page through the menu it is on, rather than Drupal's default method.

The current proposal looks good. However, it assumes that the user knows what a breadcrumb is and that its function helps the visitor to locate the page displayed on the site. If it would be useful to make this clarification, the second sentence of more technical information does not allow it since the maximum 200 characters are reached.

Changing proposed description to "Generates a breadcrumb to help site visitors locate pages based on the path taken. The breadcrumb is based on the titles of the parent menu items of the page in the navigation menu."

Older description was "Generates a breadcrumb for a page based on the titles of the parent menu items of the page in the navigation menu. Compatible with the "Taxonomy Attachment" and other breadcrumb builders."

The description provided in #5 is good.
However, I wonder if it would be worth trying to fit something about breadcrumbs being provided by other modules?
Fitting that in 200 chars is a challenge. Here's my best effort:

"Generates a breadcrumb to help site visitors locate pages based on the path taken. By default breadcrumbs come from the titles of parent navigation menu items, but can be provided by a helper module."

Happy to go with #5 if that's too compressed.
