Just curious if there is going to be a stable release of this module any time soon.

Sounds like a nice enhancement for user experience.

Outstanding bugs:
#1939358: Email change not possible with password tab active
#1982300: Redirect path on password change doesn't work with %uid

Absolutely. If there's general consensus that this is stable enough, I'm happy to cut a release. Because of the history of this module, we probably need to make sure it's not run alongside the old version (still in Password Policy 7.x-1.x).

It looks like the last comment on a stable release above is from 6 years ago. Is a stable release still viable for this module? Or at least commits of RTBC patches to the 7.x-dev branch?

I'd be open to helping out with getting those patches in or working toward a stable release.

(The site I'm working on is switching to Password Policy 7.x-2.x and it would be nice to have Password Tab work along with it.)
