Note: Before considering to use this module, you may want to give the successor: Metatag: Page Heading Module a try!
This module adds settings for adding prefix and suffix to the page title of entities.
Currently supported entity types:
- Nodes
- Taxonomy Terms (by submodule: "Taxonomy Term Name Prefix")
Please help us to extend this to support all kinds of entities in this issue: #3273721: Support all entity types ("Entity title prefix & suffix") [3.x]
Use
After installing the module, go to the entity type edit page and set values for prefix and / or suffix. They are afterwards added to the page title of all entities of this type.
Similar modules / Alternatives:
- https://www.drupal.org/project/metatag_page_heading - Superior functionality using the Metatags module as base, which allows altering all entity types and even make per-entity overrides! The only downside might be #3466638: Do not override the field template (and its classes) in rare cases
- https://www.drupal.org/project/alter_route_title - Alter the route title
- Automatic Entity Label - modifies the label itself, which is a different approach for other use cases
- https://www.drupal.org/project/custom_page_title - Overwrite the node title on certain paths
- https://www.drupal.org/project/exclude_node_title - Remove the page title on certain paths
- https://www.drupal.org/project/node_display_title - Provide a separate admin title and user-facing title
