In the upload tab of media browser/file add page, I get the following notice:

Use of undefined constant FILE_DEFAULT_ALLOWED_EXTENSIONS - assumed 'FILE_DEFAULT_ALLOWED_EXTENSIONS' in media_form_file_entity_add_upload_alter() (line 600)

If you update Media make sure you also update the File entity module to the latest 7.x-2.x.

I used the latested ----> file_entity 7.x-2.x-dev and file_entity 7.x-2.0-unstable5 and still have the same issue.

Did you find a solution? Have also tried both file_entity 7.x-2.x-dev and file_entity 7.x-2.0-unstable5 along with corresponding Media versions (and version up/down). Still no luck.

Any ideas?

My problem was solved by upgrading to file entity 2.x dev

Will try this again and see what happens. That was my original approach. Will try the upgraded modules again.

That happened to me too and updating File Entity to dev fixed the problem.
