Light Weight Distribution is a distribution to cater development analysis effort made on choosing best possible modules to start with a drupal project. Here we have consider following contributed modules that are required to start a basic development in drupal.
Default Front End Theme: Corporate Clean.
Admin Theme: Default Seven theme, in addition Overlay effect is disabled.
This distribution is more useful for developers who quickly want needed module to debug or test something. As it also contains a standard front end theme that help developers to quickly develop a good looking demo site.
It also useful for those type of audience who are new and want basic experience of drupal.
At end, I would say it is useful for any project kickstart where you don't want any unnecessary module but want a ready-made theme with few required module.
