Hello,

Great module! I managed to insert manually different single fields into body. However, I tried to follow the same process with Fieldgroup Table and didn't succeed. Is there any way of achieving this, please?

Also I had problems in using the Insert button of the fields I inserted, hence, I wrote the code manually. I noticed that in errors messages there is the following comment:

"jQuery Caret Plugin is missing. Please download and place it in sites/all/libraries/jquery.caret/"

I downloaded the full zip file from https://github.com/acdvorak/jquery.caret/

Then went to jquery.caret/dist/ and copied and pasted jquery.caret-1.5.2.js into sites/all/libraries/jquery.caret/

Also in sites/all/libraries/jquery.caret/ I deleted everything else, so left jquery.caret-1.5.2.js only. Then I rename it to jquery.caret.js

Nevertheless, I still see the error. Run cron, and it is the same issue.

Any help will be very much appreciated.

I've never even heard of Fieldgroup Table so I can take a look at that, but other modules that are popular have conflicts that are probably more important at this point, but I'm always open to patches. :)

As far as the Insert button, I'm sorry it's so confusing, I've tried to make it as simple as possible, but I haven't come up with a better solution.

the file should end up being here:

sites/all/libraries/jquery.caret/src/jquery.caret.js

Let me know how that works out for you.

I evaluated Fieldgroup and Fieldgroup Table and the reason I chose them is because their popularity and availability of a long list of other dependend modules. I liked Fieldgroup Table because it provides a very easy-to-use and neat format for creating tables with fields. Labels can be modified, and tables can have suffix and preffix elements.

Followed the instructions provided regards Jquery.caret and tried many times inserting fields with the Insert button but is not working for me. However, inserting code manually works fine. I was thinking it could be my browser initially but I noticed that the message still appears even though I cleaned cache and run the update script.

"jQuery Caret Plugin is missing. Please download and place it in sites/all/libraries/jquery.caret/"

Btw, I noticed a typing error in the Installation instructions, step 3:

3. Download jQuery Caret Plugin and place it in sites/all/libraries/jquery.carrot/ once done you should have a file at sites/all/libraries/jquery.caret/src/jquery.caret.js

Instead of jquery.carrot/ should be jquery.caret/.

I'm not doubting that Field Group Table, isn't a great module, I just personally do not have time to fix the problems. I'm more than welcome to accept any patch that fixes your issues though, so it might be worth adding an issue on their queue to see if they can fix it from their end.

Speaking of which, what happens when you try and use Field Group Table?

The error message appears because Libraries looks at the sites/all/libraries/jquery.caret/jquery.caret.json file to determine the libraries version. Does that file exist?

Would you like to create an issue and submit a patch for the typo (so you get credit for it)?

Ok. Just posted an issue for Fieldgroup Table module and hopefully they will check it out.

I followed your instructions in 3 and now jquery.caret works neatly and also works the Insert button in Body.

I placed sites/all/libraries/jquery.caret/jquery.caret.json as I was not using the entire jquery.caret folder. As part of your installation instructions it would be worth making more obvious all files and folders that need to be under jquery.caret.

Many thanks for the link! I will have a close look at it. I have never placed an Git issue or made patches before. But I promise I will learn how to do it soon.

I'm thinking of having the library auto-download for users whenever you install Insert Field UI, do you think that would help you with the setup?

Also, I realized that your problem with FieldGroup Table, is that you cannot insert Field Groups. The reason for this, is because on "Manage Fields" and "Manage Displays" you could have different field groups. Because of this, there isn't a direct relationship between the Field Group on one side and the Field Group on the other unless they happen to be the same name. Fields on the other hand have the same name in both places so there is a direct relationship.

There is a work around to this, you could use Field Collection. Create a new Field Collection field on your Node(?) and on the Field Collection, add all of your fields and put the Field Group Table on the Field Collection. That way when you insert the field collection, you'll also get the display of the Field Group table.

Does that make sense? If it doesn't I can probably make a video to show how to set it up.
