Using the ImageAPI GD2 toolkit for imagecache. Is this a problem with the toolkit or is this something we can fix in the imagecache module?

Workaround: remove the # and the image is resized normally.

I've found the bug has something to do with the unescaped # being mis-interpreted by PHP

I added:

$path = drupal_urlencode($path);

to line 317 of imagecache.module and it seems to have done the trick for now *knocks wood*. I'll allow the contributors to make a judgement call based on this fix.

EDIT: As far as I can tell, this is caused (I think) in association with clean URLs and the rewrite script cutting the incoming request at the #
