Safe Mode On

Hello,

I'm running drupal with imagecache on a server with php safe mode turned on. (godaddy)
I asked them to turn it off but they said
no

.

Other than moving hosting which is kind of a problem is there any other sollution that can make imagecache work or any thumbnail generation module at safe mode on server?
