As Composer support has been added directly to Aegir core, this module has been deprecated in favour of Aegir Deploy. Aegir Deploy will continue to provide functionality from this module that is not included in Aegir core. See #2938992: Enhance composer support in Aegir core for details.
This module extends Aegir's platform deployment strategies by adding support for Composer. Once a platform has been deployed, this module runs composer install to add any PHP dependencies to the /vendor directory.
There's also an Aegir Platform Git submodule for deploying platforms via Git. It differs from Aegir Hosting Git in that dangerous operations, such as running a git pull command on a live platform, don't exist.

Installation instructions
Once the module folder is made available to your Hostmaster site, surf to Administration » Hosting » Features » Experimental » Aegir Deployment and select Git Deploy, Composer Deploy, or both. Save the form.
