I would like to add a class to freelinking so I can style the links. I've tried adding classes to the l functions in the code, but it doesn't seem to have an effect. Where would I make the change so I can add a little flair to my freelinks?

Released 5.x-1.2 and 4.7.x-1.0, which implement classes on freelinks. External freelinks get classes "freelinking external", and internal links get a class of "freelinking."

Please verify and close, and thanks for the request!

Here's an example from the theme for the forthcoming Drupal 5 version of my site.

div.node div.content a {
  color: #000;
  border-bottom: 1px solid #75535a;
}

div.node div.content a.freelinking {
  border-bottom: 1px dotted #000;
}

Regular links get a solid bottom border, but freelinks get a dotted one. Style definitions like this go into the style.css file in your theme.

What #6 is asking for is #255443: Different Style for Links.
