Form to add or edit migrations.
Mapping editor for migration process

This project is not covered by Drupal’s security advisory policy.

This module is for experimental purposes. Defining a full migration process is not yet supported. Do not use in production.

Forgery aims to add the missing UI for adding and editing migrations. The module provides an easy to use interface for basic data migration process by enabling users to map all destination fields to a certain source field. Users may add multiple process plugins on the interface.

Features

Provides forms for migrate entities with basic support of various migrate plugins provided by Drupal core and other modules.

  • Add new migrations to groups
  • Set migration source plugins and destination
  • Build migration configuration able to export
  • Detect entity and configuration destination fields
  • Edit migration process mapping
  • Add process plugins to certain process mappings

Post-Installation

After installing the module add a new group at /admin/structure/migrate
Open the migration group and add a new migration. Set source and destination plugins.
After saving the migration head to the "Process" tab to modify the mapping.

TIPS:
Export the migration config to get a full list of all entity fields.
Without choosing a source field, click the Edit button at the Process page to add a default_value plugin.

Additional Requirements

The module is build on Migrate Tools and Migrate Plus.

Any migration related modules should be compatible.

Supporting this Module

Patches, ideas and considerations are welcome.

Considerations

Please note that the core migrate module doesn't require much definition on plugin configuration, therefore not all configuration options will be supported. This module can be used for creating simple migrations or getting a full field map of destination fields to be migrated to.

When using the \Drupal\migrate\Plugin\migrate\process\Callback process plugin, allowing users to call any method from the UI may not be secure.
