After upgrading from 2.3 -> 2.4 (on one site), and trying a new 2.4 install fresh on another site the environment indicator does not display. This is across several themes and on the one site 2.3 was working fine.
I've confirmed the environment_indicator .js files are there, Drupal.settings.environment_indicator looks to be reasonably set. The page title is getting a prefix of the environment letter (D) ... so that seems to be working. No php or js errors observed. I've also tried with overwritten and non-overwritten values for the toolbar...

e0ipsoThese are disturbing news… Hmm. Are you using some kind of integration with admin_menu, toolbar or navbar? If so, can you try it without any integration? Did you clear your caches?

bdone CreditAttribution: bdone commentedhaving the same issue. it looks to me like commit 4d838cc4 forgot to remove the new $toolbar selectors. this patch get's that working again for both the toolbar and navbar modules.
