Return value An associative array where the key is the queue name and the value is again an associative array. Possible keys are:
The queue row contains a data field that could contain anything. The documentation says possible. Does that mean I can provide parameters to pass to my cron hook? If I can, it saves me setting up a duplicate queue table. That Possible needs more detail.

Passing a data array from hook_cron_queue_info to hook_cron makes sense. I looked in some code. drupal_cron_run appears to accept anything from hook_cron_queue_info. There is a module_invoke_all in drupal_cron_run but module_invoke_all does not pass anything to hook_cron. I guess that means Possible should be Current. :-(

Perhaps with documentation of this type you could also mention that table containing the received data so we can look in the table to see the result of our hook_cron_queue_info.

Agreed, it looks like this could be better documented...
