I'd like to use aggregation to show the number of times a particular file is referenced in {file_usage}. That means counting on the `fid` column, but that column isn't exposed to Views.

Going through old issues.

I don't think we should add this anymore. #3364744: Add a reliable entity-usage system to core should solve this for core and until then I'd recommend using the entity_usage module.

Feel free to reopen this if you think there is still merit in adding this to core.
