ksenzeeFeature requests get implemented in the current development version first (that's 8.x right now). I have no idea what component to file it under. The link is hard-coded in the core themes, but the configuration page lives in system.module, so I'll move it there for lack of a better idea.

soegaraedy commentedHow about this reference ??
this page
I found it helpful.
Maksym Kozub commentedIt is helpful in some situations but not mine :). I am using Stark as my theme. Therefore, there is no page.tpl.php to modify.
swentel commentedjust copy page.tpl.php from system to stark and adjust as you like.

Maksym Kozub commentedKristof, thank you for the suggestion, I did not realize it can be done that way. I must say, however, that this does not seem easier than the way I described in my first message (i.e. a separate textual block).
In any case, I still believe that a checkbox to remove the active link from the site name would be a nice feature to have.

dawehnerAt some point you have to accept that adding more features causes more troubles on the longrun than it solves. Most themes most probably touch page.html.twig already.

quietone commentedThe replies have suggested a way to accomplish the goal so this can be closed. And based on #6, this is a working as designed.
Thanks for the idea!
