kkaefer commentedWhat is wrong with “Passwort”?
hass commentedWindows und einige andere Anwendungen haben mich damit "angelächelt"... und ich find es deutscher und nicht so einged-englisch-ed :-)
kkaefer commentedThis matter is probably very subjective. However, I don't see a good reason why we should change this string. Most other German websites use "Passwort" as well. Personally, I don't consider this word an anglicism.
kkaefer commentedOh, and Microsoft's translations are not always good either: Take for example the translation of "downloaded in Windows XP as "gedownloaded" instead of the simple straightforward "heruntergeladen" or even the more usual "downgeloaded"...
hass commentedi will recreate the patches this evening without "Kennwort". ok?
hass commentedBut nevertheless - "Kennwort" is a good translation

kkaefer commentedYeah, don't get me wrong: Kennwort isn't a particularly bad translation, not even anywhere near it. It's just that "Passwort" is way more common related to logging in at a web page.
