Seems to be theme specific [#1288010]

Nice concept but the module seems to be tied to how themes are implemented. Works fine with Bartik and I like the result better than the default. But with Sky it worked only with 1 or 4 contextual link sets (the home page has two nodes, two blocks). While the 1 block worked, the contextual links completely disappeared in the other 3 cases.

Yes, you're right, this module is a bit theme specific. Anyone is welcome to propose patches to make it look better with other themes, but for now they will not be updated to accomodate further contrib themes.
