Release 7.x-3.1

Currently the distro uses Bootstrap as it's what I feel is an easy default and Harmony itself uses bootstrap classes. When I get around to it the distro would use a Bootstrap sub theme of our own creation and not the vanilla Bootstrap project.

With that, I'll move this issue to the Bootstrap project as a request for a stable release from 3.x dev (I thought there was an issue for this but couldn't find it).

This is currently postponed because of the following major and critical issues as well as #2261189: Add Drush support for creating sub-themes (which will be required moving forward since the documentation regarding sub-theme creation is severely outdated/no longer works with dev).

edit: if you'd like a stable release, I would recommend helping create patches for these issues (I can only do so much by myself).

Hi @markcarver - wondering if #2462645: Create @BootstrapPlugin for "bootstrap-anchor" is still the only roadblock to a 3.1 release? Is Drush #2261189: Add Drush support for creating sub-themes completely necessary for 3.1? IT would be great to have a stable release. Even a 3.0 beta 3 (note that beta 2 still doesn't list as an official release on the project page) would be great.

I'm not a coder, but about to start a project and kind of wondering status here (I know these things are often client driven). Tracking bugs and maintaining patches is painful for us mortals :)

Any roadmap updates would be wonderful. thanks.

Beta 3 will be released after I finish #2462645: Create @BootstrapPlugin for "bootstrap-anchor" (just haven't had time to wrap it up lately is all).

Yes, every issue in the link above is necessary for a full 7.x-3.1 release.

Please add it on https://www.drupal.org/project/bootstrap to the Downloads block too. As an alternative release. That makes people select it way better.

I'm currently working on #2466425: Update documentation. This is the last thing thing that needs to happen before I can create a stable release.

My goal is to release 7.x-3.1 Monday morning once this issue is finalized. If you'd like to help out, please join #drupal-bootstrap in freenode IRC so we can converse in real time and also work from the docs branch.

I will still make the release Monday if no issues/comments are made regarding this though.

This is great news, we use Bootstrap theme on our Company's Intranet and having this release is great :) We were using the -dev up until now. Thanks for all the hard work in making this happen.
