The Posterous bookmarklet has the "copied" part in a separate "preview" version, which is automatically blockquoted and attributed.
Below it is the commentary field where you type.
I can understand reasons for not doing it this way, but at the very least I would like the page title / link inserted automatically and the content encased in blockquotes (e.g. blockquote -- something something copied text image etc -- end blockquote via page title, hyperlinked to source page)

bluesherpa CreditAttribution: bluesherpa commentedI played around with Bookmarklet and I was able to accomplish something similar to what you're describing. Bookmarklet defaults to the standard node type. To do what you want, just create a custom content type and configure Bookmarklet to use it. Make sure to add a link field (http://drupal.org/project/link) to the custom content type. Bookmarklet will autofill the title and url of the field. Bookmarklet will automatically put the selected portion of the webpage into the body field. If you want an extra area for separate information, just add an additional text or textarea field to the custom content type.
