Can someone help me get Advanced Forum working with Garland. I saw that the demo site is running garland. Can I see the template.php file please.

Sigh.

I had included garland's template.php file pre-modified but then I got 3 issues filed about how it was messing up the breadcrumbs even though I didn't touch the breadcrumb function. So I gave up and took it out and, instead, put detailed instructions in the readme. I guess I can't win.

Here is the file:

http://cvs.drupal.org/viewvc.py/drupal/contributions/modules/advanced_fo...

Please don't file an issue that the breadcrumbs are messed up. I haven't the foggiest idea how to fix that.

Did you copy the advforum directory to your theme?

where can I find this directory, I copied the advanced_forum directory but I don't see a advforum directory

It's in the project tarball.

hmm... I see it, it seems that it doesn't seem to extract when I do it via command line

I tarballed the directory and put it on my webserver and it worked. I think the tarball may not be completly done right. Anyways I got it working. Woot!

I just tried it and the tarball worked fine for me. Glad you got it working.

While the advanced_forum distribution was out of sync with CVS I downloaded directly from CVS with folllowing command:
cvs -d ":pserver:anonymous:anonymous@cvs.drupal.org:/cvs/drupal-contrib" checkout -r HEAD contributions/modules/advanced_forum
copied advforum into themes/garland as indicated in readme, and the breadcrumb separator problem was gone.
In previous versions (which included dir for_theme instead of advforum) I had to manually fix the separator in template.php,
replacing > with entity &gt; " in return '<div class="breadcrumb">'. implode(' › ', $breadcrumb) .'</div>';

Well, it would make sense that the problem was gone as I had stopped including template-garland.tpl due to all the problems with it. That breadcrumb line is what comes with Garland. I didn't touch that function at all.
