Ive created a view page with nodes on it to.. I can see the result at the preview while editing the view.. but when i go to the url of the page view that i created it says "requested page not found".. what will i do? can somebody help me?

If am not wrong you will have
If am not wrong you will have to allocate a block or a page to the created view. I am not sure what view type you have used for this. If you create a block of this view then in the "Administer -> Site Building -> Blocks" section put the block where ever you want to display the list or view on the page. Also, you can configure the block to display on specific pages.
Hope this is helpful.
its a page view
I configure my view as a page.. i even configure the path of the page.. but when i go to the page it still says page not found..
Is it plugged in?
Might be a silly question, but did you *save* the view? Previewing will work when building a view, but it's not until you save the view that it becomes available.
Other than that: is the path registered to your views page display using any arguments? Are you positive that the URL you use matches the one registered to the page display?
I have the same problem
1. Created a "Page" view
2. Set some fields, arguments, and filters
3. Saved
4. Preview displays fine
5. "View Page" link results in a "Page not found" page, even though the path is properly set and correct
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
Thank you in advance!
"On #4. Privew displays
"On #4. Privew displays fine"
After saving the view (page view or block view whatever you may be having) the page which is coming is a default view page. And, the preview which displays is the default view. Hence, make sure by selecting your view option from the preview drop down list and check if the preview is displaying for the same.
Can you post a screen shot of your view's configuration page and the preview? Probably then we can troubleshoot the problem.
cheers,
vikas
Similar problem - works fine on local host, problem on main site
My view is to display links filtered on content type of nodes.
This works fine in localhost. I do get the links to different node types and when clicked they show the node content.
But on the main site the links to the different node types are displayed but clicking on them gives - Page not Found.
The funny part is that the same links when typed in the url show the page content.
Guess it could be some configuration problem.
Any pointers?
Pages should be called "Page" and Blocks "Block"
When you create a view for a page or block, pay attention that you name your page "Page" at the Basic Settings.
Blocks should be called "Block".
Only than are your views visible on your site.
When you use other names, you will get the "Page not found" error.
This problem occurs when you are using another language than "English".
Same problem here
I have exactly the same problem! For all the new views I create, I have a "Page not found" if I want to access on a page view (my page is actually named "Page"). All the olds views still work fine. I have a local copy of wy website (same code and database) and there is no problem.
I've cleared all the caches possible, I don't know what to do!
Thanks

same problem here. I am using Drupal 7.
creat a view page. use argument in the path, something like administration/%.
Preview this page is fine, and results are corrected. But when click on the URL, it said "requested page not found".
Very strange thing is I have other view pages in this view. Only one page's URL is working. ( the path setting is the same, only value in teh filter is different).
Any suggestion?
Same problem here
I am having the same problem with a new site that I have installed yesterday.
I have used views with taxonomy terms as arguments before and those my old sites are still working properly, but with the similar view created today I have exactly the same problem - "page not found" on real site while preview in view editing is working.
Can it be a bug in latest Views?

Same issue here. I created a user directory; previews perfectly. I save. I click on the page URL; Page not Found.

Is there a work around for this? Has anyone solved the issue?
I'm absolutely pulling my hair out now at this problem. I've tried on a totally updated 7.4 Drupal install with latest recommended Views 3 release, and I've tried with 7.0 Drupal install, same thing. The only difference is that on the 7.4 install it would come up with an AJAX HTTP error 403 box. I'm thinking it's related. I've tried every fix I can find on the internet and nothing is solving this problem. Any time I create a new view I get page not found. I've tried with completely stripped down views with nothing but a list of node titles, it previews and saves fine but when I view page "Page not found"
Any help would be appreciated.
Seriously, no fix yet?
Has anybody, at all, found any solution to this? I'm still pulling my hair out over it.
Help would be much appreciated.
Check for human error
i had the same problem and flushed cashes 16 times before realizing it was my error— i had a contextual filter with a get content ID from URL as default value accidentally applied to the page as well as the block.

Same problem. Even if I clone a previous views page that works fine and save it under a different path, there's still a page not found error.
When I create a new view (instead of cloning a page), I'm getting another error (http://drupal.org/node/1123198). Are these two problems connected? I'm also getting "Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted" all over the place.
Drupal 7.7, Views 7.x-3.0-rc1 here.
Same issue as well
Getting page not found on my cloned page views, as outlined above. Doesn't help me to change the path. Should this issue be posted over on the views module page? I'm going to try that.

I'm getting nowhere otherwise so I think I'd like to try this. Can you possibly give me some detail on precisely what settings in these files you edited?
Many thanks in advance fr any help with this!
I found this post:
I found this post: http://drupal.stackexchange.com/questions/6875/drupal-7-views-3-contextu...
I tried changing the name of my view page to a new url and its working now. The previous name I was using was the same as a page that I had deleted. Don't know how you get round this if you have to call it by that deleted page name though.
I found a solution!
I had the exact same problem here, and I found a solution!
In my case, I created a new view with a page display, configured a path to that page, and was getting 404 - page not found errors, no matter how many times I flushed the caches. But I was using the "Administration menu" module, and I fixed this problem after going to /admin/settings/admin_menu and clicked the button "wipe and rebuild". BINGO!
I hope this information helps everyone!

I think the better way is to upgrade your views version, because upgrading version corrected my problem.

wow
It's amazing that this worked. We recently updated a site from 6.22 to the most recent and afterwards our views were not saving, and new views were getting 404 errors. Why THIS was the problem I cannot fathom, but it worked, and thank you so much.

I'm having the same issue. I cleared my cache but it doesn't help.
I tried installing "administrative menu" like one of the comment suggested.
But I can't flush any caches with it. And the drop down "administrative menu" doesn't appear at all. Moreover, this path - admin/config/admin_menu/ - is also not found. Please help !
Same here - it's a critical problem
We are simply unable to make page display work on a French language site in the most recent version of views in D7. Tried renaming the display, increasing available memory, clearing the cache, nothing works. The only workaround seems to be to create a block and stick it on a page... yech. All the sites we work on are bilingual, so it's a killer problem, it will make it impossible to use Drupal for future work. Any ideas on how to resolve it, I'm all ears.
Thanks,
Paul N.
another problem...
Adding to the list of things that are broken in this install is views permissions - if I set the permissions to multiple roles (overriding the defaults) in one display, it changes the permissions in another. I've confirmed that this is also the case in the current 'dev' version of views.

video nodes with swftools module
I have same problem.I am using Drupal 6.14.
created a view to display list of video nodes, set the path with and without underscore, increased the memory to 1024(local WAMP),"Link this field to its node" option disabled, saved the view properly(deleted and created it again, cloned also),cache deleted from admin menu.
Preview this page is fine, and results are correct. But when click on the URL, it said "requested page not found".
Its working fine on my live server (IIS),sometimes it gives output as "view updated successfully"(when i login)
Any suggestion?
View page not found
In my case, I had accidentally disabled the view. When I re-enabled it, the problem was fixed.

For some reason my view was disabled by default... Which has never happened to me before, by going to the views page and enabling the view fixed it for me
Disabling and enabling the
Disabling and enabling the view solved the problem in my case.
Disabled view
Adding to the comments above, this happened to me because my view was disabled without me realizing.
This happened after I deleted a field used on the view. It would be great for the status of the view to be more obvious from the view edit page, because I tend to skip the views list most of the time.
Flush the caches

D8, Views 8.9.20.
Clearing all caches, disabling-enabling view, renaming URL of the page does not help.
D9 solved
Went to admin/structure/views and noticed the view created by this module was disabled. After enabling it there, I needed to go back to the page view admin/structure/views/view/media_galleries click on the page view to edit and save it. Then it worked fine.
remove hypen from the url
I experienced the same issue in Drupal 10 but when I removed the hyphen in the url of the page created with views, I stopped getting the "page not found" error
