just wondering if anyone is useing this module with 4.7 and what your file path settings look like on your admin/settings/image_import pages.

I have created the directories, tried multiple versions of the file path (ie files/image_import, public_html/files/image_import, /files/image_import, etc), and I've tried CHMOD settings of 775 and 777 on those directories.

But I'm still unable to set file path settings for this module and keep getting the following errors:

* The image import directory, public_html/files/image_import/user/, is missing or is not writable by the web server.
* The directory public_html/files/image_import/use does not exist.
* The settings have not been saved because of the errors.

Any help would be super.

I don't have help, but I think I'm having the same problem. I have the image mod and the image_assist mod. One of them creates an 'images' folder in the files subdir. I can upload images one by one within drupal, but can't do ANYTHING to that images folder via ftp, including change permissions like you tried, which seems to be the problem. My errors are that there's no permission to do anything like upload files. I have a ton of images and if I can't figure out how to upload multiple images then this is a problem.

Well I'm not sure it will solve your problem but the upload directory for the image module and the image_import module must be different directories.

I'm having the same problem as you now regarding this. I've tried all variations of the path as well. I would've tried the absolute path but there's not enough room to fit it so I assume it's not required. The instructions, although verbose around the settings and the install.txt aren't clear what exactly the path should be.

put your image_import folder right in your drupal directory, not your files subdir. I did this, and put JUST the name of the folder (not the path to it) and it worked for me.

You'll notice it says 'Subdirectory beneath the Drupal directory' which I also overlooked.

still no luck for me, but i'm wondering if it's something else. It seems as though the settings page isn't taking my changes. Whatever I change the file path to I get an error message with the original default file path in the error. in other words, I change the import path to just "image_import", the error says:

"The image import directory, public_html/files/image_import/username/, is missing or is not writable by the web server."

I even tried changing it in the mySQL database and still reverts to the same path in the settings page.

perhaps a bug?

ok, now it seems to be working...just took several tries.

thanks for your help

Hi, I have the same problem, the module does not want to save the changes, directories are set correctly and drupal should have access to them - still there are shown the three errors mentioned already above...

What did you do, to solve this problem? I don't find the cause... :(
