Hello,
I need to post articles like: 10 Stunning Pictures or 10 Creative Logos.
I think easily inserting pictures into posts feature ready is a must-do for any CMS.
Maybe my question could seems stupid to drupal gurus.
I have used Wordpress and I found very easy to insert multiple pictures into articles.
I just want to ask why is not so easy with Drupal out of the box installation?
One needs to add CCK, then Image Field and even so, how can I control the place an image would place in an article.
How can I easily load pictures directly from my computer and then just simple insert them?
Or is there a very useful module in order to easily do these?

gingic, My short experience
gingic,
My short experience with Drupal has taught me that Drupal is ideal for all the hard and sweaty stuff, which is exactly why it is so rewarding at the end! Anything simple such as posting a video from Youtube or inserting an image or using some WYSIWYG editor can be a nightmare! :)
When it comes to images there are multiple ways of doing this but none has made it's way to core so the only way for a user to find out is by breaking his/her face.
Having said that, what I personally think is one of the simplest ways is to manually upload an image on your server and use your WYSIWYG editor to point to that image from that location. You can clearly see I can put images anywhere I like using this method on this page of my website: http://live-zakynthos.com/content/history-culture.html Maybe it's not as fancy as uploading the image using WP's editor BUT you do end up with a folder structure you decide which I think is neat from an organisational point of view.
There are other ways of doing this as well such as using modules like Upload where you can upload multiple images from inside the admin interface but I prefer doing it "organically" where I can.
Hope this helps a bit

No longer true-- imagefield and imagecache have been added to core for d7!
and one of the best methods of image handling for posts is, imo, the one described at http://mustardseedmedia.com/podcast/episode29.

thank you to all my helpers!
I think I found something convenable
Hello,
Please consider WYSIWYG image upload plugin: http://drupal.org/project/wysiwyg_imageupload
It seems that this module make drupal image insertion as easy as on Wordpress.
For installation, please consider first installing module dependencies:
1. WYSIWYG module
2. An editor: TinyMCE, ckeditor etc.
3. Dependencies:
Jquery_ui , Jquery_update , Jquery_ui_dialog , Imagecache and Jquery_ui_dialog
Hope this help you.

Thanks for digging up so many
Thanks for digging up so many old posts :(
That's exactly my point
@no_idea_yet, that's exactly my point - same old problem for many years. And how much time 'Drupal beginners' waste going through all this old and new posts?
@gingic, I agree, as I mentioned in http://drupal.org/node/1098348#comment-4248600 wysiwyg_imageupload is the best, I use it on my site
