Well, I've spent the whole day reading and learning about Drupal and have definitely decided this is a great solution for my existing site. The obvious question is before installing Drupal, and I'm a beginner, I need to know how to keep my design. The themes are nice but I prefer the design of my site. I have a Wordpress blog already installed that I will convert to Drupal after I can get my existing site completely converted and working properly.

I have Linux hosting and several php pages. This is the beginning and I hope I can do this. I'm eager to learn but I'm not a programmer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Beverly

you would have to convert the theme in use from wordpress to drupal, or construct the theme from the ground up in drupal.

I believe there are some tutorials around about converting themes from wordpress to drupal.

Thank you for your comment, but my site is not a Wordpress theme. Just my recently installed blog. The site is a combination of html and php pages. There seems to be a lot of info about converting from wordpress. My site is not a theme, it is a design. I need to find out how to install and use Drupal and use my current design? Does my existing design have to be converted to a theme???

Acquia invited James Walker to do a 90 Minute Tutorial on this type of thing. If you'd like, watch it once or twice and follow up here with questions.
