I am trying to set up:

http://testing.ashtech.com.au/ntshelter/

at ntshelter.org.au and have the phptemplate engine set up.

However, when I follow the info posted here: http://drupal.org/node/11810 it turns into a mess as you can see at ntshelter.org.au.

All I did was grab the template I nad designed from the first link, chuck in all the code, added in the extra pages as noted in the handbook - just wondering if anyone has some suggestions how I can break it back down and get it to work better?

what version of drupal are you using secondly...would be happy to have a look at your page.tpl.php files etc if you wish, i have done some work converting a few layouts to drupal using PHPtemplate in the last 12 months...
