The following download is provided for those users who do not want to overwrite all of the files in their Drupal 6.10 installation. Using a file comparison utility, the following zip file contains only the date modified files for the latest release of Drupal 6.11.
Upload the new files to your Drupal site, then log into your site as the administrator and run update.php.
After running update.php, your style="COLOR: rgb(0,51,102)">Available Updates and Status Report functions will indicate that you are running the latest Drupal release version.

How can I do this for myself?
I appreciate you doing this work and making the files available, but I wonder if there is a simple, dummy-proof way for me to do this for myself? In other words, on windows or mac or linux, is there a drop-dead-easy way for me to compare a freshly un-archived copy of drupal-6.11.tar.gz to a freshly un-archived copy of drupal-6.10.tar.gz so I can see at a glance what has changed and what hasn't? Thanks!

Addendum: I just realized that a nice open source tool I've used in Windows before is perfect for this, it's called WnMerge and can show exactly what differences there are between two directories: http://winmerge.org/
Not only does WinMerge show what subdirectories/files are different, but it can show you what is different in the files, so that's good for curious people! I'm sure there are similar utils for Mac & Linux.
I just used a program called FileSync
I just used a program called FileSync to compare the two versions to each other and then copied out the files that were changed in the 6.10 distribution to make the 6.11 upgrade download file.

That link is dead I tried going to the domain but that looks like it's gone too. These files look perfect for me I wanted to do this then use the other set of similar files for going from 11 to 12. The normal upgrade looks scary and I was looking for an easy way out. :(
