2️⃣ Hands up! Who installed CRM Alpha 5 (or a later dev release)? What do you like? What could use improvement?

estevenson I've installed the latest dev. So far my biggest feedback is this feature request:[#3542318]Aka, entering contacts one by one is something I know comes up at my org. Having a shortcut to immediate go back to the create contact forms after creating a contact seems like a good idea.
bsnodgrass (he/him) I have a local Drupal CMS site I have added CRM and some other modules to. I will be using that to build out some proof of concept functionality. I need to make more headway on that and will have some feedback soon.

3️⃣ Regardless of whether you've installed CRM, what functionality should ship with CRM, as a base for more opinionated CRMs / specific client needs?

estevenson This is definitely not a MVP feature, but some kind of External ID for syncing with other systems?Aka, a future sub module that allows a non-profit to sync contact data with something like Salesforce for Non-Profits (https://www.salesforce.com/nonprofit/) so they can do stuff like allowing volunteer data entry without giving access to the internal site seems like a plausible use case to me

jdleonard Salesforce integration with CRM would already be possible via https://www.drupal.org/project/salesforce which provides a generalized mechanism of syncing Drupal entities with Salesforce objects (not specific to Drupal CRM)

jdleonard ZNA uses Mailchimp (Standard tier). Features we make regular use of include...

jdleonard Scheduling emails in advance with recipients calculated at send time
jdleonard Determine recipients based on tags/segments
jdleonard Automated email when a Contact is tagged (e.g. thank you email for becoming a member)
jdleonard Seeing email bounces is also important for us to know who we need to reach out to for updated contact info / catches typos in manually entered email addresses.

Steve Ayers Seems like an idea worth discussing after there is a stable release.
