Who are you? (biography/background)
Hi, I'm Janna (@jannakha). I am a software engineer based in Australia. My career encompasses roles as a team lead, software developer, and accessibility tester on projects of varying scale. A passionate advocate for open-source, I am a co-organizer of industry events such as the WordPress meetup, Drupal code sprints, and DrupalSouth conferences. I'm an ongoing contributor to Drupal code, documentation, and community building initiatives.
Why are you running for a board seat at the Drupal Association? (mission/motivation)
I am actively involved in improving Drupal documentation and educational impact. By getting access to the Drupal Association, I'm aiming to have more resources to bridge the gap between Drupal and academia, building stronger awareness of the platform and its potential applications in educational settings and improving Drupal help.
Why should members vote for you? (qualifications)
Collaborating with my colleagues, I am dedicated to refining Drupal documentation and improving Drupal educational impact. I am co-organising monthly documentation and help sprints, where teams work to improve user guides, developer tutorials, and API documentation. I am also working closely with local colleges to identify and address challenges in Drupal adoption within the academic environment.
