The process the Drupal Association follows each year to elect the next At-Large member of the Drupal Association Board is as follows. The actual dates for each step in the process are advertised on the current year's section.

Self nominations open

Drupal community members who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to self-nominate for this year's elections, via the form linked on the current year's section.

Upon receipt of the nomination, Drupal Association staff will create a candidate page and encourage candidates to tell the electorate about themselves, and how they can help the Drupal Association to meet its mission.

Self nominations close

At the advertised date, nominations for candidates will close and the Drupal Association will post the final list of candidates on their blog.

"Meet the candidates"

The Drupal Association will begin a period of encouraging members of the Drupal community to ask questions of the candidates, via comments on the candidate blog post, which candidates are highly encouraged the respond to, and at open community forums.

Voting begins

At the advertised date, the voting process begins. Members will receive their voting invitation via the email address they have defined as their primary email address on their Drupal.org profile - make sure it is up to date! You must have an active Drupal Association membership a full 24 hours before voting opens. 

Voting ends

When the advertised date is reached, voting will close. No more votes after that point will be registered.

Votes ratified and winner announced

The Drupal Association staff pass the results from the voting tool to the Drupal Association Board for ratification and, once complete, the candidates are informed of the results and then the winner is announced to the community via the Drupal Association blog.
