Eligibility for the Drupal Association At-Large Board member elections comes in two parts; eligibility to stand as a candidate and eligibility to vote:
To stand as a candidate
There are no restrictions on who can run, other than you must be a member of the Drupal Association.
We do not wish to create a barrier to participation therefore, individual membership of the Drupal Association is available with a zero cost option. See details below.
Candidates may only nominate themselves.
Before self-nominating, we want candidates to understand what is expected of board members and what types of topics they will discuss during their term. That is why we highly encourage candidates to:
- Read the Board Member Agreement
- Watch the Drupal Association Update to the Community
To vote in the election
All Drupal Association individual members are eligible to vote in the election. The Drupal Association Board voted in 2020 to update those eligible to vote.
You must be a member of the Drupal Association a full 24 hours before the opening of voting.
To best align those engaged with the organization and its governance, voters are required to have a current Drupal Association individual membership. For the voting process itself, your membership will need to be in place before voting begins. If you have a current membership, there is nothing additional you need to do in order to vote. If you aren’t a current member but wish to vote, you have a few options:
- Sign up for an individual membership.
- Utilize your company’s Drupal Association benefits. Do you work for one of our Supporting Partners? They may already have an individual membership to give you as part of their existing benefits.
- Request a zero-cost membership by emailing Jitka Pilar, Fundraising & Membership Manager at jitka@association.drupal.org
