1️⃣ Say hello when you join the meeting. If you are new to this meeting, let us know what your interest is and we will make sure to help you learn how you might want to become involved. Please add your drupal.org user name to your intro.

chrisfromredfin hi
bsnodgrass (he/him) bsnodgrass here late, looking at what I missed when I was out of the office this afternoon
Webbeh HI y'all - Eric (d.o Webbeh) from Atlanta, GA here!

2️⃣ At DrupalCon Prague we had a BoF on rethinking the Project Description page on Drupal.org. Again great attendance and feedback from folks newer to Drupal as well as current module maintainers. Please review this issue and add your thoughts if you haven't already #3230734: Improve project descriptions by using a template suggestion for the body field

bsnodgrass (he/him) Added my notes

3️⃣ We also held a discussion (BoF) on improving the project categories. We decided, after getting some great feedback, to start with a small number of categories and see how the modules would fit. We anticipate needing a few more categories, but not the 55 we have now, Follow this link => https://bit.ly/help-pb <= to provide some initial impressions about Drupal project categorization.

chrisfromredfin We've had four people do this, and could use about 4 more. It may take up to an hour of time, but you'll certainly get commit credit on this issue! We're using this survey to hone our initial stab at categories / naming.
rkoller perhaps you find people at the badcamp contrib day to fill out the questionnaire. and ill ask at the austin drupal dojo on thursday as well if there is someone willing
leslieg I plan to do that @rkoller Would be great if you could too.
rkoller yes thursday night is planned for the drupal dojo on my end and if time permits i also will jump into the zoom room of the badcamp contrib day.
bsnodgrass (he/him) I made an initial pass, I will assign the module list shortly, next couple days anyway (edited)
bsnodgrass (he/him) purely subjective, but I like the short list, yet it feels pretty complete. Time will tell if we are missing any big holes.
chrisfromredfin Subjective is where we’re at right now ! Thanks so much for your time/work/effort!

4️⃣ @chrisfromredfin Dove into a bit of AI to look at project categories. Check out this issue for details and add any feedback or thoughts on next steps  #3240313: Decide on re-categorization of modules for Drupal.org

chrisfromredfin Things that are easy to tweak here include changing the target number of clusters. 20 may be too high, maybe we shoot for 14 or so.
chrisfromredfin Another thing to consider is that (and I may need some hand-holding later) is we can provide a "ground truth" to the algorithm - the categories we want - and see how well the computer matches up against what we picked. I'm not 100% sure how to do this, but I know it's "a thing."

5️⃣  Will anyone be at BADCamp later this week? I will be giving a session on the current state of the Project Browser Initiative and will be in the contribution room Thursday afternoon and on Friday. Stop by. No coding required. Come test out the latest version and give us feedback.

bsnodgrass (he/him) trying to be available online, I understand there will be an online offering, though I have not found it.

6️⃣ Thanks to everyone who continues to work on logos, short descriptions and categories for the Top 100 modules. See the Kanban board if you are looking to contribute. Reach out with any questions

Webbeh Shared with my organization, hoping to get someone involved with this.
