1️⃣ I want to recognize the amazing progress we've made on working through the Top 100 modules with content improvements! Lots of great help at sprint day as we continue to move those issues ahead with @leslieg’s guidance.

bsnodgrass (he/him) I didn't get to go to Prague, but I watched the Keynote of Core Initiatives Leads and the Project Browser Where we're at presentations. Kudos to both @chrisfromredfin and @leslieg!

2️⃣ @bnjmnm would like as many :eyes: eyes as possible on dgo.to/3284945 so I'm looking at that now, but want to call a lot of attention to it. This is an important issue, and once it's in, I think it may be time for -beta2. This is functionality that I learned at Prague, if it doesn't exist, people kind of shrug at Project Browser. This is a key piece for our target audience.

timplunkett (he/him) Hoping to land this this week :crossed_fingers::skin-tone-2:
bnjmnm And worth pointing out this is the endpoints that facilitate install. The UI integration is now a separate issue to keep the scopes semi manageable #3312289: Svelte UI for install controllers#comment-14711069. But most of the work for that issue is completed too.
timplunkett (he/him) @bnjmnm I posted my review. A couple easy nits, but some bigger concerns, especially around the changes to composer.json/pb.info.yml
timplunkett (he/him) stepping away for a bit, but happy to discuss more soon

3️⃣ calling @Ruth L @Divya Mangadu @Jillian Chueka to dgo.to/3310877 - I like @fjgarlin’s suggestion in #15, but also hear the international concern of @rkoller in #16. How translatable are these strings on the Svelte side? If it's wrapped in Drupal.t() then is it possible to localize the numeric abbreviations?

fjgarlin the svelte snippet actually uses plain javascript to get the locale version of the string using https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Global...
fjgarlin but I’m fine either way. I only suggested to transform the number purely to make it smaller in size so it’d fit nicely with the design
chrisfromredfin right, and I don't disagree. Just trying to figure out how to display it in short form also, I think the toLocale will only decide between 146.039 and 146,039 installs - which doesn't do much if six digits is simply too big in the first place 🙂
fjgarlin it does the K abbreviation it seems. check this: https://svelte.dev/repl/b3db3b6801ee4a45b1d204673566c0e9?version=3.25.1t... is a locale selector on the right side. English is the default and it seems to be using K, M, B by default
fjgarlin then if you check de-DE it does not shorten anything till the millions

4️⃣ Speaking of translations... does anyone know how to solicit volunteers from the localization groups to get help translating Project Browser?? It's something I wanted to find out in Prague but never got around to. We're doing OK in Spanish since a lot of our strings are already translated (ex. "Download") but there's some more unique strings that need translation.

PontusT Potentially silly, rookie question: One of my old trades was translation, but which languages are the issue? Or is it more of a general "how do we get people to chip in" kind of thing?Either way, I'm pretty sure there must be a way to get the ball rolling. I looked at the localization work being done in general, and some groups are rather more active than others, but if all else fails, there's always the Know-a-Person-and-Ask-Them(tm) approach. I get the impression that PB might be a thing that people would volunteer for if they heard there was a need.
chrisfromredfin Right. I guess that's exactly it. My first question is "what's the best way to tell people that we're looking for translating volunteers"
chrisfromredfin https://localize.drupal.org/translate/project_browser
chrisfromredfin So I would think someone needs to be a member of one of the translation groups.
chrisfromredfin For example, how might we be able to say, "hey people in the Polish translation group, we'd love for you to help here! https://localize.drupal.org/translate/languages/pl/translate?project=pro...…]=0&release=535156&search=&author&context=all&limit=10&sid=0 "
PontusT Still newish to Drupal Slack, and a little surprised that there aren't dedicated channels to localization efforts. I see some when I go looking.Tougher nut to crack than I thought.
rkoller hm i would probably ask over in the #localize channel. many of the maintainers of the different languages might be in there. there is also a dedicated  #localize-es and #localize-german channel. but the other detail that might be helpful eventhough in case there is no current solution for contacting maintainers is to at least bring up the problem to the #localize channel. there is currently the porting localize.drupal.org over to d9. and they are also asking about features folks are missing and i think having a way to ping and or contact the different localization channels might be a useful feature.
Chris Wu (amourow) I’m a member for zh-hant , I’ll work on its translations and get attention from the group.
chrisfromredfin thanks, @Chris Wu (amourow) and good to see you here!

5️⃣ We need like 3 or so more people to help us by filling out this survey - #3311475: Review Category Proposal - but please note it's a bit of an investment... maybe about an hour of time. We'll be using this to hone our understanding of categories even more and develop a card sort activity to help really get us there, but we need some good qualitative research first.

chrisfromredfin thank you @rkoller and @Jay Huskins for your time so far!
bsnodgrass (he/him) I haven't had a chance to look through those yet, but will later this week
chrisfromredfin I know it's a bit of an investment @bsnodgrass (he/him) but your opinions would be super valuable
bsnodgrass (he/him) @chrisfromredfin I think I'm about due! I am feeling quite in debt to everyones' great efforts!!
chrisfromredfin heh

6️⃣ Some accomplishments from Prague also...

chrisfromredfin :a: We have an example module that will help developers build their first custom Source Plugin.
chrisfromredfin :b: We started a handbook for the module. Plenty more to be added, but first up is how module maintainers can make their projects play nice with Project Browser.
chrisfromredfin [C] We did some great usability / listening sessions with users with the latest UI and got some really great feedback. There were many new usability issues filed, some which are great "first issues" for some folks, so feel free to check the queues especially if you're new here!
chrisfromredfin [D] We have started to think about scaffolding out detail pages in the Project Browser for a project/module detail page. Would love any additional feedback on the content hierarchy / important. I think it's good but might mean a slight re-think to existing designs @Divya Mangadu @Jillian Chueka??
fjgarlin related to :b:, pinging here as reminder @chrisfromredfin - https://drupal.slack.com/archives/C01UHB4QG12/p1663999017966509?thread_t... page is created but I think it needs approval to show in the right context / submenus, etc
bsnodgrass (he/him) Great work folks!
chrisfromredfin right, right. I'm looking at that now @fjgarlin thanks for the reminder
chrisfromredfin @bserem Bill are you able to add me as a co-maintainer of the Guide?
chrisfromredfin https://www.drupal.org/drupalorg/docs/content/documentation#manage-maint...
bserem Hey Chris, sure thing. I'll do so later on, I'm with the kid now
chrisfromredfin no worries! thanks for your help 🙂
leslieg @bserem Could you also add me as a co-maintainer of the guide
bserem Sure!
chrisfromredfin Thanks, Bill! I've got the guide all updated @fjgarlin @leslieg @bserem https://www.drupal.org/docs/contributed-modules/project-browser

7️⃣ OK I think this is my final thing, but I really dug into @bnjmnm’s proposals re: themability, which are to some extent blocking our ability to conform with design systems for, ex.g, Claro. I have a third proposal. It's a bit "bigger" than the other two Ben proposed, but we definitely need :eyes:eyes here, too. dgo.to/3285889
