I would be happy to help co-maintain the 8.x branch of Field Formatter Class. It's an important module for Bootstrap users as it can be used in combination with Field Group to format view mode layouts. My profile

chris matthews commentedProject page: https://www.drupal.org/project/field_formatter_class
✅ File an issue in the project's queue, using Support request as a category and stating your interest in becoming the owner, maintainer, or co-maintainer. Giving a link to issues for that project where you posted a patch or where you reviewed patches posted from other users demonstrate you are interested in improving the project, and you are actively involved in the project. Point out the motivation behind your request. (For example, you are already using the project and you want it to be well-maintained.) For the title, use Offering to maintain [PROJECT_NAME] or Offering to co-maintain [PROJECT_NAME]. (Replace [PROJECT_NAME] with the project name shown on the project page, not its machine name.) By putting the project name in the title, people reading posts via the global tracker will notice the issue.
✅ If enabled, use the Contact tab on the owner profile page to contact the project owner, asking to post a comment on the issue you posted. We need a comment on the issue you opened to make the decision of the project owner publicly visible.
✅ Put a record of the attempts to make contact in the issue summary, spelling out who, when, and how. This information is helpful when site moderators decide whether to act immediately or make further attempts to contact the maintainers.
❌ If the owner replies and sets you up as a co-maintainer or maintainer, the issue is fixed.
❌ If the owner agrees to make you the new owner but cannot change the project owner, or the owner agrees to your request but doesn't make any change, move the issue to the Drupal.org project ownership issue queue, by changing the issue's Project field to Drupal.org project ownership. To make it easier for the Drupal.org administrators, please include a link to the project page. If the owner privately agrees to transfer the ownership, ask for a comment on the issue you created.
✅ If the owner doesn't reply after two weeks, move the issue to the Drupal.org project ownership issue queue, by changing the issue's Project field to Drupal.org project ownership. Please include a link to the project page. The site moderators will normally try to contact the owner as an extra safeguard unless it is evident the owner is no longer active in the Drupal community. If the owner still doesn't respond, the site moderators will make a final decision about the request, usually giving the project owner two weeks for replying to the message they sent via the owner's Contact tab.

avpadernoThe only user who can administer maintainers/co-maintainers is the project owner. I am going to contact him in the next minutes, if he at least logged in in the past months, or posted on drupal.org.I am going to contact all the maintainers who can administer maintainers/co-maintainers, in the next minutes.

avpadernoI contacted all the maintainers who can administer co-maintainers/maintainers. This is the message I sent to the project owner.
I set the status to Postponed since we are waiting for a reply from the maintainers.
Feel free to bump this issue after 14 days, if none of the maintainers replied here.

andrewmacpherson commentedI'm happy for Chris Matthews to become a maintainer of Field Formatter Class.
Re. #3: Slack isn't a good way to get my attention (and my D.o user profile says so).
Re. #4: I haven't found any email message from Chris via my Drupal.org contact form. (These are usually easy to find, by grepping "sent you a message via your contact form".)
Re. #6: Today I saw the message which apederno sent on 2022-11-05 via my D.o contact form, directing me here. Thanks!
Re. #7: Thanks pifagor!
