It seems that current maintainers are busy to review the state of this project. Last commit is two years old and there is no release for D8/9.

I actively use this module in several projects, I could give a helping hand on:

  • create a D8/9 release
  • work to reach a stable version
  • issue reviewing

Following the taking over unsupported (abandoned) projects guide, I moved this into Drupal.org project ownership issue queue since I had no answer from the current String Overrides module maintainer (RobLoach) to my co-maintainer offering.

I make an active usage of this module in several D8 projects, it is in a -dev stage since its last commit at 2018. There are currently 94 issues opened, 4 RTBC. The goal is to make a D8/9 stable release of the String Overrides module.
