[META] Open Social - Releases and Roadmap

From now on we will use Receptive as a road-mapping tool, the link is included in this issue. This will be a lot less administrative work for us and the roadmap should now give a better indication of the delivery time. Usually the roadmap is planned once a month 2 months ahead, but things might always change, depending on shifting priorities or because companies are funding features.

The roadmap on https://receptive.io/app/#/graphical-roadmap/72a2bdb4-1b62-4875-974a-0e9... says Push Notifications have been released, but I cannot find any documentation about this.

Can anyone let me know how this works?

Hi,
part 1 of the push notifications is done. It has not been released, but unfortunately the status "Done" is not available in Receptive. We see it more as a proof-of-concept at the moment. You can expect something in Q1 of 2018. If you have further questions about this please open a new issue.

We did not include it in the distribution as this module has some special requirements for your webserver in order for it to work.

I think a roadmap, combined with a transparent process to influence, contribute, and fund features, themes, child distributions, installation profiles to documentation and training would be a great way for stakeholders and community members to help sustain and grow the project. Creating an Open Collective would provide such a mechanism for stakeholders to help sustain the entire project and/or specific features. With Open Source Collective 501c6 (Non Profit) as a host, there would be additional benefits, exposure for the project, and opportunity for collaboration with over 490 projects and communities.

If any of the suggestions in https://www.drupal.org/project/social/issues/2766871#comment-12483115 turned out to be a good idea, they could be referenced on https://www.drupal.org/project/social and https://www.drupal.org/docs/8/distributions/open-social as a way to increase contribution and support of the project.

The links posted in OP and many of the comments are out of date. But many issues on Drupal.org (or elsewhere on the web) still point to this issues. I think it would be a great idea to update the OP.
And try and make sure the latest comments have some useful information.

https://receptive.io/ leads me to https://feedback.pendo.io/app/#/login which requires login credentials I don't have.
