I don't know if this is a bug, because it doesn't appear to be documented anywhere, but if I specify an alias for a node, eg:
alias1 = node/2005
arguments are not permitted on that alias.
While I could use arg(2) if I accessed the node as node/2005/arg2_here, accessing the node as alias1/arg2_here simply returns a page not found.
Is this the correct, intended behavior?

Anyone
have any ideas on this?
Should I submit a patch to "fix" it?
I need to know if the current behavior is intended, though.

Hello jhenry,
The forum may not be the appropriate place to ask this type of question. People most able to answer it may not be browsing the forum. The best would be to open an issue:
http://drupal.org/node/add/project_issue
and the issue (bug report) will remain active until the question is answered and the problem (if any) is fixed.
And if you already have a patch, attach it to the issue. You'll see what the core developpers will do with it.
