I am not sure where to put this. There is no easy-access place to let whomever manages the repositories to know and https://www.drupal.org/support does not have an appropriate entry. So I am putting it here in hopes that somebody who knows more than I do can possibly either pass this along, or let me know if I am doing something wrong.

In an attempt to upgrade Drupal (from 7.39 to 7.41) and Modules I receive "Certificate verification failure" and "Authentication error" messages when I try fetching the updates.
Navigating to https://ftp.drupal.org/files/projects (note missing trailing "/") the page redirects to https://ftp-origin.drupal.org/files/projects/ and returns an ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED message.
Details:
The server at ftp-origin.drupal.org can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed. DNS is the network service that translates a website's name to its Internet address. This error is most often caused by having no connection to the Internet or a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or a firewall preventing Google Chrome from accessing the network.
If I adjust the URL, after failure, to ftp.drupal.org/files/projects/ then get an Index list of the directory.
Because of this I cannot have my Drupal site check for updates or display module status.
If this is not the correct place to send this, please either pass this along or let me know who I should contact.
Thanks.
